Chemistry
An American Chemical Society (ACS) certified degree is a bachelor's degree in chemistry that has been verified by the ACS to meet rigorous curriculum standards, preparing graduates with a comprehensive and in-depth education. Marietta College' chemistry program has been certified since 1965. Once a program has been approved by ACS, the department has the authority to certify that students have completed the approved curriculum.

Accreditation by the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) provides our students with opportunities for national scholarships and enables successful graduates to sit for the Registered Professional Landman certification exam.

Petroleum Engineering
Marietta College has the only accredited liberal arts-based undergraduate petroleum engineering program in the nation and is internationally accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc.

Physician Assistant Studies Graduate Program
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Marietta College Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Marietta College. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2028. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.
