On January 19th and 20th, Marietta College will celebrate the 41st class of inductees to the Athletics Hall of Fame. The 2024 class of inductees includes football/baseball athlete Leonard Randolph '65, baseball athlete Jim Thibodeau '90, women's soccer athlete Jenny (Fleischer) Sheldon '00, women's basketball player Justine Pagenhardt '08, softball athlete Michelle (Sayre) Knight '13, and three Varsity Heavyweight 8+ men's rowing teams from 1963, 1966, and 1967.
The weekend celebration kicks off with the Winter Weekend Reception at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19th, followed by the Alumnae Volleyball game at 7:30 p.m. The Alumni Men's Basketball Game will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Pioneer women's and men's basketball teams facing off against OAC rival Heidelberg University at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., respectively. On Saturday evening, the celebration culminates in an Alumni Reception at 6:00 p.m. and the Hall of Fame ceremony and banquet at 6:30 p.m. in Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.
A special celebration honoring men's rowing teams inducted into the Hall of Fame will also be held throughout the weekend. Join rowing alumni for dinner on Friday, January 19th at 7:30 p.m. and at the Lindamood Van Voorhis Boathouse on Saturday, January 20th for brunch at 10:00 a.m.
