More than a school, we are a source for all that flows from here.
Founded by revolutionary thinkers and original explorers, through paths carved by persistence and a pioneering spirit, the legacy of Marietta College has lasted across generations and lives through us every day. Those same Pioneers worked together to establish a town, to lead a new state, and to blaze trails that built a country. For more than two centuries the history and progress of this town, this College, this region and this state have been intertwined.
We are a source for all that flows from here, including collaborative scholarship, community-based learning and hands-on problem-solving. We invite our partners, our community, to the table -- together we are stronger and have greater impact.
Center for Appalachian Innovation
The Center was created to support our region as partners in innovation and a driver of economic growth in the 32 Appalachian counties in Ohio. Projects managed by the Center sponsor faculty and student research in collaboration with industry and local government to investigate and identify solutions to systemic regional challenges.
The Center also brings together leaders from business and government for symposia to focus innovative solutions and highlight opportunities available to the region and provides capacity building support to local and regional governments and small business to help them better serve their constituents and seek opportunities for growth and funding.

Center for Earth, Energy & Environment (CEEE)
Created to help prepare leaders that shape our shared energy future, the Center also serves as the region’s resource for education and information on energy systems development, environmental impacts of energy alternatives, and sustainable energy practices, CEEE prepares students to assume leadership roles across evolving energy sectors, including well-established and emerging sectors of the increasingly sustainable energy industry.
CEEE facilitates strategic alliances with external stakeholders, including learning partners, funders, governmental and industry leaders.

Nonprofits LEAD
Nonprofits LEAD (Learn, Empower. Advocate. Develop capacity.) is a locally specific, research-based program at Marietta College that supports local nonprofits with a vision for every nonprofit to have the tools, resources, knowledge, and support they need to meet the needs of their community.
Nonprofits LEAD provides a connection between organization and student volunteers and multiple events / workshops to help nonprofits. They oversee the NextGen program, which places each participating student on a local nonprofit board of directors.
