Internships are an excellent way for students to be mentored as professionals, build their portfolios, and network before entering into their career paths. Each Communication student will have at least one 150 hour internship for three hours academic credit.
Interns can choose local, national or even international organizations. They can spend their time in a non-for profit or for-profit corporation.
Here is an example of past internships:
American Cancer Society
Strong Women-Strong Girls
The Travel Channel
Ogilvy and Mather
Walt Disney World
Marietta Memorial Hospital
Susan B. Komen Foundation
