Marietta College's Physician Assistant Program is conducting its 2022 Commencement ceremony at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23rd, in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center. Approximately 36 students will receive a Master of Science degree. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
The Education Department is hosting a retirement reception for Dr. Cathy Mowrer from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27th, on the third floor of Erwin Hall. This is an opportunity to thank Cathy for her 19+ years of service to Marietta College and to wish her a happy retirement.
Marietta College will conduct its Freshman Matriculation ceremony at 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 19th, in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center. The Class of 2026 will officially be welcomed to the College during this ceremony, which will include a charge from President Bill Ruud and Provost Janet Bland.

Dr. Katy McDaniel, Chair of the Department of History, Philosophy, Religion, and Gender & Sexuality Studies, will present on historian Gerda Lerner (1920-2013).
Dr. Joe Snyder, Assistant Professor of Physics, Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Miami University, will speak about "Leveraging Microstructures to Manipulate the Relativistic Laser Plasma Interaction," at Noon, Friday, March 25th, in Rickey 150. The presentation is part of the Physics Colloquium Series.
Keith McBride, a postdoctoral scholar at Ohio State University, will speak about "Balloon-borne Particle Astrophysics with PUEO and HELIX," at Noon, Friday, April 8th, in Rickey 150. The presentation is part of the Physics Colloquium Series. The Physics Department will provide pizza and beverages.
