For almost 40 years Marietta College has been a center for Odonata research in Ohio, even hosting an international conference! Dr. Dave McShaffrey will briefly cover that history and then turn to the amazing natural history of the dragonflies & damselflies.  

Marietta College is excited to offer a free, public showing of “Seven Wonders” at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 18th, in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium.

Spot challenges and design solutions—get ready to win cash prizes. This even will be held in Thomas 327 on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Our kickoff Physics Colloquium will be a planetarium show, "Seeing! A photon's journey across space, time and mind."

Grupo Fuego will be performing for our Hispanic Heritage Musical Celebration on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. on the Harrison Lawn. They deliver high-energy, crowd-moving performances rooted in salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton.

Marietta College's Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams travel to Cedarville University to the All-Ohio Classic on Friday, September 19, 2025. The races are scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
