Gamma Sigma Alpha is the National Greek Academic Honor Society. The Beta Gamma Chapter of Gamma Sigma Alpha was chartered at Marietta College on May 2, 1994. Since that time, the chapter has initiated over 200 students who held a 3.5 GPA or better during their junior or senior years for either a semester average and/or cumulative average.

The chapter holds monthly meetings during the academic semester with at least one of those meetings being dedicated to the initiation of new members. Students are invited to join Gamma Sigma Alpha based on their previous semester’s grades. Members pay a one-time initiation fee which covers their initiation ceremony costs and provides for the organizations yearly operations on campus.

In addition to recognizing outstanding academic achievement among our fraternity and sorority members, Gamma Sigma Alpha members also host at least one event each semester to support and promote academic success within our campus community.
