As a freshman, Taylor Landrie ’13 (Fredericksburg, Va.) was thrilled to help organize a campus-based conference for the McDonough Leadership Program.

Eric Ellis, President and CEO of Integrity Development Corporation, is giving the keynote address at the World Pac Paper Leadership Lecture Series at 1 p.m., Friday, April 6, in the Alma McDonough Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public and is part of Marietta College’s ninth annual McDonough Leadership Conference.

Elbowing their way out of what was once a forum for friends to talk about weekend plans, today’s social networking sites have transformed into tools that colleges are using to recruit new students, heighten the educational experience of current students and to bring alumni back into the fold.

For three McDonough Leadership scholars, the spring semester will begin like normal, but after just one week of classes, they will depart campus again, not for home but for Annapolis, Maryland, where the 2018 The U.S. Naval Academy Leadership Conference is being held from Jan. 21-24.

Dr. Alexandra Perry, Clinical Ethicist at INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been named the 2017-18 Fitzgerald Executive-in-Residence (EIR) at Marietta College’s McDonough Center for Leadership and Business. Perry, who taught at the McDonough Center from 2013-15, will focus her EIR project on “Ethical Issues in Healthcare.”
