Biography

After graduating from Marietta College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in business economics, Arnie earned an MBA with a concentration in accounting at Rutgers University Graduate School of Business Administration (1972). While at Marietta, he was elected to Tau Pi Phi Business Honorary and Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded several academic scholarships. 

Arnie's career featured over 50 years advising individuals, businesses, and not-for-profit through the complex federal, state, and local tax systems. His background includes wealth preservation and estate, gift, and fiduciary tax matters such as valuation and compliance. He also has a deep expertise in the areas of tax planning, income tax examinations, and state and local tax matters. 

As for not-for-profits, he advises on all facets of formation, compliance, and governance. He is one of the original six partners of Citrin Cooperman Advisors, a national tax and advisory accounting firm. His volunteer and Board leadership activities have included the theater group Naked Angels Ltd, Project ALS, Jewish Federation of Central NJ, and SAY (Stuttering Association for the Young), to name a few. He is married to wife, Jaclyn Dunn Civins, has two grown sons, Michael and Peter, and three grandchildren. He lives in Scotch Plains, NJ and in NYC.
