Biography

Jill Congrove is no stranger to Marietta College basketball as she recently finished up a very successful four-year career with the Pioneers. She was a letter-winner in all four seasons, averaging 5.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in 95 career games. Before she completed her senior campaign, Congrove helped make history as she was a part of the very first Pioneer squad to win a NCAA Tournament game, scoring eight points in Marietta’s first round victory over Wittenberg, 65-50.

Upon graduation, Congrove was named assistant varsity girls basketball coach at Bloom Carroll High School where she made an immediate impact. She was heavily involved in player development and ran point on practice schedules. Congrove was crucial to gameday planning and used her leadership skills to constantly encourage her players to play as a team. During that time, Bloom Carroll claimed the Division II Central District Championship and Congrove was named Division II District 11 Assistant Coach of the Year.

Originally from Circleville, Ohio, Congrove graduated from Marietta in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Medicine.
