Biography

Sarah Long joined Marietta College in August 2019 as an Advancement Gift Officer. Sarah is passionate about storytelling, community development and advocacy work. She is excited to be a part of the Marietta College team and work with donors, alumni and students to promote The Long Blue Line. She is also pleased to be able to help transform the city of Marietta.

Prior to joining Marietta College, Sarah spent four years at IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis) as a Graduate Assistant then Program Coordinator within the Multicultural Center creating campus-wide programs, supervising a scholarship, working with students to develop their leadership skills and teaching a First-Year Experience class. Sarah volunteered and interned in a variety of museums and non-profits throughout her lifetime including the Indianapolis Zoo, Newfields
Art Museum and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. Sarah’s core values are community, equity, authenticity, collaboration and growth.

“A Marietta native, Sarah loves to kayak, bike, run, read and create art. She and her husband, a Marietta College Alumnus (Class of 2015), live in Marietta with their daughter and two dogs.
