Our Talent Scholarships are open to incoming Marietta College freshman or transfer students who have developed talents in theatre or musical theatre. Each incoming student can apply for only one Marietta College talent scholarship across the departments of Art, Music, and Theatre.

Theatre

(up to $3,500 per year)

Open to any incoming Marietta College student regardless of intended major, this award requires

  • continuous enrollment as a full-time student and satisfactory progress toward a degree,
  • participation in one theatre production each semester, and
  • successful completion of THEA 106 Acting I and THEA 210 Backstage Experience during your first year of enrollment.

 

Musical Theatre

(up to $5,000 per year)

Open to incoming Marietta College Musical Theatre majors only, this award requires

  • continuous enrollment as a full-time student and satisfactory progress toward a degree,
  • participation in one theatre production AND in one music ensemble each semester, and
  • successful completion of THEA 106 Acting I during your first year of enrollment.

Recipients of Talent Scholarships eligible for need-based assistance will receive a financial aid award incorporating the amount of the scholarship. Priority is given to students who apply for a Talent Scholarship before February 28th.
