Brayden Adams
Marietta College
HOMETOWN:  Sugarcreek, OH

I was raised in a rural area just outside of Sugarcreek, Ohio. Growing up, I was always fascinated by healthcare, as my mom was a nurse. This interest led me to work as a patient care technician in the emergency room at a rural community hospital. Through this experience, I gained valuable insight into the healthcare field and observed firsthand what it is like to work as part of a team to improve patient well-being. For the past four years, I have attended Marietta College, majoring in Health Science with a minor in Health Communication. During this time, I was also a member of the football team, where I made many memories with my fellow teammates. I have grown close to this unique river town and community. I am excited to continue my education and pursue a master’s degree here in Marietta, Ohio.

Ohio State University
Hometown:  Avon, Ohio

Hi! My name is Ava and I am from Avon, Ohio, where I graduated from high school in 2022. This is where I took my first anatomy class, sparking an interest in medicine which was solidified when I became a patient myself. After undergoing an ACL reconstruction, I witnessed the adaptability, professionalism, and compassion of healthcare providers fueling me to shadow multiple PAs across different specialties. I saw firsthand the meaningful impact PAs have on providing high-quality patient centered care. I graduated in the Fall of 2025 from The Ohio State University where I majored in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. Throughout my time at OSU, I pursued a wide range of health care experiences, leadership roles, and organizations that helped shape me into a well-rounded individual. Working as a PCA in memory care showed me the importance of hands-on care with a focus on ADL's while working as an EMT-B allowed me to develop critical medical and clinical skills. Becoming Vice President of Mental Health Matters and a Suicide Prevention REACH trainer strengthened my role as a mental health advocate and leader. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, and going to concerts. I am honored to be a member of the Marietta College Physician Assistant Program class of 2028 and look forward to continuing my journey toward becoming a compassionate and knowledgeable PA.

Columbus, OH

Just a short trip from Marietta is where my journey began in Columbus, Ohio. From a young age, I learned to navigate complex health conditions of family which sculpted my understanding of the significance of a patient’s experience. This early exposure to healthcare spurred me on to pursue a career as a medical professional. My first step in following my dreams was to graduate from The Ohio State University with a major in biology and a minor in nonprofit management. During college, I gained hands-on experience through local free clinics. I was further inspired to enter the healthcare field as I witnessed patients gain access to much needed care and improve their health. After college, I joined the float pool as a nursing assistant at OSU where I fulfilled a number of roles including phlebotomist, EKG technician, behavioral health specialist and nurse aide. The myriad of units I was assigned to further deepened my curiosity and compassion for patients navigating the complex and often bewildering healthcare system. Furthering my education at Marietta College is an honor, and I look forward to dedicating myself to serving future patients.

Kent State University
Amherst, OH

Hello. I was born in South Carolina, but I spent most of my life in the small city of Amherst, Ohio. As I always had a great love for science, I chose to major in integrated health studies at Kent State University for my undergraduate degree. As the first person in my family to go to college and raised by immigrant parents, I would have been completely lost if not for the assistance from great friends, professors, and guidance counselors during my stay at Kent. For my last year at Kent, I also worked as a home health aide. While working as a home health aide, I had the opportunity to work first with seniors who often suffered not only physically but also emotionally. With my education at Kent State and personal experiences with people lacking healthcare access, occupations with the capacity to bridge health disparities really appealed to me. That’s why I am so delighted to be a part of the 2028 PA cohort at Marietta College.

Sartell, MN

I was born in Colorado and moved to Sartell, Minnesota, in fourth grade. I attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to pursue my passion for healthcare and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Throughout my time there, I worked as a CNA in an assisted living facility. During my gap year, I attained my EMT certification and started working as an EMT in Urgent Care. This experience not only expanded my clinical skills and knowledge but also deepened my love for healthcare. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, reading, and trying out new hobbies! These past experiences have all guided me down the path towards providing patient-centered care as a PA. I'm very excited for my journey at the Marietta College Physician Assistant Program class of 2028!
