Alongside other community members, Marietta College students are invited to East Muskingum Park to partake in the 6th annual Recovery Walk, organized by the Washington County Behavioral Health Board and The Right Path.

The tradition is meant to raise awareness for recovery, as well as promote good mental health practices and the benefits of exercise. Office of Student Life and AmeriCorps member Cole Longcor '22 is encouraging students to represent the campus and create a healthier Marietta at large.

The college will have a table at the event promoting the campus’ resources for mental health — such as the Dr. J. Michael Harding Center for Health and Wellness, which offers counseling for students in need of support at no extra charge. Community-wide resources, a DJ, and a mini farmers’ market will also be present. In addition, free T-shirts will be available for participants while supplies last.

The event is free and will begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 27. Pioneers are encouraged to wear Marietta College apparel if they are in attendance.
