Marietta College is celebrating Homecoming Week 2025 and preparing to crown this year’s royalty, with 20 standout Pioneers running for the titles of Homecoming King and Queen. Each candidate represents a portion of the Marietta College community, from student organizations and athletic teams to academic departments.
This year’s theme, “Marietta Serenade,” nods to a beloved tradition from Homecomings of the past. Marietta Serenade honors the College’s longstanding performing arts tradition while uniting generations of Pioneers who continue to define the College’s legacy.
Online voting is now open for students. Voting runs from 8 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13, through 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16. To cast your vote, visit the 2025 Homecoming Candidate Voting form. The 2025 Homecoming Court features 15 queen nominees and five king nominees, each bringing their own leadership, energy, and dedication to campus.
In addition to embracing Pioneer spirit, Homecoming candidates have also embraced a spirit of giving through a philanthropic effort to collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, supporting families in need. This effort demonstrates the College’s enduring commitment to service and leadership.
Homecoming Week continues with a lineup of spirited campus events hosted by the Pioneer Activities Council. Students can enjoy a performance by the improv group, Free Daps on Tuesday at noon and Trivia in the evening. On Wednesday evening, Munchies on the Mall returns, allowing students to showcase their culinary skills. De-Stress with Dogs and a Cornhole Tournament take place Thursday, and Baby Blue Out Day is slated for Friday — all encouraging community involvement, connection, and Pioneer pride.
On Saturday, October 18, the winners will be crowned during halftime of the Pioneers’ football game against Muskingum College at Don Drumm Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in the Ohio Athletic Conference matchup. The Pioneers are currently 3-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
