Concert Choir - Music 361
The Concert Choir is a select chorus requiring an informal audition (no prepared solo is required). The Concert Choir performs a Fall Concert and Christmas with the Choirs during the first semester. Second-semester performances include the Spring Choral Concert and Graduation. Concert tours are scheduled annually during the week following graduation in early May.
Men's Vocal Ensemble - Music 161
Marietta College's newest choral group, the Men's Vocal Ensemble performs a variety of musical styles suitable for male voices and is open to all male members of the Marietta College community. No audition is required.
Women's Choir - Music 162
The Women's Choir performs a variety of musical styles suitable for female voices and is open to all female members of the Marietta College community. No audition is required.
Floodstage (Contemporary A Cappella Ensemble) - Music 164
Marietta College’s contemporary a cappella ensemble, known as Floodstage, is a select ensemble of 6 to 12 singers focusing on music in the contemporary a cappella and barbershop harmony. These singers perform frequently within the Marietta community, on campus, and around the state. Floodstage also is called upon to do concert tours for the Music Department. Auditions are held the first week of fall term.
Oratorio Chorus - Music 163
The Oratorio Chorus performs major choral/orchestral works each semester and is open to both Marietta College students and members of the community. No audition is required. Rehearsals are held from 7:00-9:00 p.m. every Monday beginning in September. Its annual performance of Messiah is as old as the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and boast a standing room only attendance each year of more than 700 people. Participation in Oratorio Chorus may be used in partial fulfillment of the Fine Arts requirements at Marietta College.
