The Concert Choir is a select chorus requiring an audition. The Concert Choir performs a Fall Concert and Christmas with the Choirs during the first semester. Second-semester performances include the Oratorio Concert, Spring Choral Concert and Graduation. This ensemble can be used fulfilling part of your Artistic Expression general education requirement for all degree programs on campus.

Men's Vocal Ensemble - Music 161

The Marietta College Men's choir is open to any male singer on campus without audition. The Men's Choir performs music from varied time periods languages, and gives multiple concerts throughout the academic year. The Men's Choir singer will learn to sight read as well as learn other musical concepts as part of the curriculum. This ensemble can be used fulfilling part of your Artistic Expression general education requirement for all degree programs on campus.

Women's Choir - Music 162

The Marietta College Women's choir is open to any female singer on campus without audition. The Women's Choir performs music from varied time periods languages, and gives multiple concerts throughout the academic year. The Women's Choir singer will learn to sight read as well as learn other musical concepts as part of the curriculum. This ensemble meets twice a week for an hour and fifteen minutes and will help towards fulfilling your AE credit for graduation. This ensemble can be used fulfilling part of your Artistic Expression general education requirement for all degree programs on campus.

Floodstage (Contemporary A Cappella Ensemble) - Music 164

The Marietta College Acapella Choir Floodstage performs

Marietta College’s contemporary a cappella ensemble, known as Floodstage, is a select ensemble of 6 to 12 singers focusing on music in the contemporary a cappella and barbershop harmony. These singers perform frequently within the Marietta community, on campus, and around the state. Floodstage also is called upon to do concert tours for the Music Department. Auditions are held the first week of fall term.

Oratorio Chorus - Music 163

The Oratorio Chorus performs major choral/orchestral works each semester and is open to both Marietta College students and members of the community. No audition is required. Rehearsals are held from 7:00-9:00 p.m. every Monday beginning in September. Its annual performance of Messiah is as old as the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and boast a standing room only attendance each year of more than 700 people. Participation in Oratorio Chorus may be used in partial fulfillment of the Fine Arts requirements at Marietta College. This ensemble can be used fulfilling part of your Artistic Expression general education requirement for all degree programs on campus.
