Kristin English, who held positions on campus as a student in the Office of Student Life, returned to her alma mater in 2015. Her responsibilities include working with students who have documented learning or physical disabilities in order to assist them in receiving the accommodations that they need for their academic courses and/or college housing.
Kristin works with professors and the Office of Community Living to ensure that students are receiving appropriate accommodations according to section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Kristin also meets with students who are on academic probation and students who are looking to improve their grades by offering assistance with time management, organization, and a variety of study skills.
After graduating from Marietta College in 2006, Kristin worked as a high school mathematics teacher at Williamstown High School for nine years. Kristin also worked with the Upward Bound College Prep Academy as a mathematics instructor, tutor, and mentor for 10 years. She has spent every day of her career working with students and is passionate about helping students succeed in the academic setting and beyond.
Kristin lives in Marietta with her husband and two sons.
