Dr. William N. Ruud became the 19th President of Marietta College on July 3, 2016. Since arriving, Bill, his wife Judy and their dog Fuzzy have been embraced by the community. He has also been deeply engaged with faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members to build upon the institution’s positive momentum.
Bill has started a strategic planning process that will include tactics to dramatically increase enrollment, as well as build a more robust endowment for Marietta College. Dr. Ruud’s vision for one of the nation’s top contemporary liberal arts colleges is one that prepares students for a global economy, encourages faculty creativity, supports staff development and makes a positive and lasting impact on the community, as well as the world.
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome President Bill Ruud.
