At the end of June, the Ohio Valley Shakespeare Conference will return to Marietta College for the first time since 2012. This is the 43rd annual meeting of the OVSC, a regional academic organization.
Marietta College will be hosting Michael Garriga as its inaugural Carol L. Lucas ’70 Visiting Author. Garriga will be giving a public reading at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, February 28th, in the Alma McDonough Auditorium with a question and answer session following his work.

Marietta College’s Department of English & Modern Languages recently inducted six students into Sigma Tau Delta and one student into Sigma Delta Pi as part of a larger awards program on April 3 in the Prince Forum.
The English Department is pleased to welcome Dave Lucas, Ohio's Poet Laureate, will conduct a reading at 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 22nd, in the Alma McDonough Auditorium. A reception will follow. The event is free and open to the public.
