To help combat hunger in the local community, Empty Bowls of the Mid-Ohio Valley will host its 26th Annual Luncheon on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at First United Methodist Church, 304 W. Fifth St., Williamstown, West Virginia. All ticket donations will benefit local food pantries. Guests will enjoy a warm, hearty meal featuring a variety of homemade soups, breads, freshly baked cookies, and beverages. For a $15 donation ($10 for children and free for children under 5) attendees receive lunch along with a one-of-a-kind, handcrafted bowl created by a local student, artist, or hobbyist. In addition to the meal, the luncheon will include a silent auction of food-related items, offering attendees an opportunity to shop while supporting a meaningful cause. Advance tickets are available through committee members Carol Garoza at garozac@marietta.edu or Mabry O’Donnell at odonnelm@marietta.edu. Tickets will also be sold at the door, though advance purchase is encouraged.
