Join members of the local Association of Government Accountants (AGA) chapter for an interactive Lunch & Learn focused on accounting careers in the Federal government.
The speakers are members of AGA, a professional association for government financial management professionals. While representing the local AGA chapter at this event, all invited speakers are employed by either the U.S. Department of the Treasury or the Bureau of the Fiscal Service and work in the agencies' Parkersburg, West Virginia offices.
Participants will discuss their career paths, the role of accountants within the Federal government, and opportunities available to students interested in government accounting, auditing, financial management, and public service careers.
Lunch will be provided. This event qualifies as a Tier 1 Professional Networking Event for Marietta College's Career Readiness Program. This event is open to all Marietta College students. While it may be especially valuable for students majoring or minoring in Accounting and other Business & Economics programs, any student interested in learning more about careers in government, finance, accounting, auditing, or public service is encouraged to attend.
