Student participants will read from their original poetry, short fiction, and creative non-fiction pieces at the English department’s annual Pizza, Poetry, and Prose event on Thursday, Nov. 5, 12:15 -1 p.m. in Thomas Hall 124,
“This event gives students an opportunity to share their creative work with their peers,” event coordinator Dr. Nathan Anderson said. It also allows those who might have an interest in or who are curious about fiction, poetry, or creative nonfiction a chance to hear and hopefully be inspired by the diversity of works that serve as a hallmark of Pizza, Poetry, and Prose,” he added.
Students interested in reading their creative work can register by emailing npa001@marietta.edu. Deadline for registration is Tues., Nov. 3.
Anderson said holding Pizza, Poetry, and Prose during the noon hour accommodates those who have evening activities--such as practice, work or homework--to participate.
Pizza will be available for all who attend or participate.
