Gear up for the holidays with this community favorite in Marietta College’s Anderson Hancock Planetarium. Light up a cold dark season with a warm and bright holiday show! The full-dome video “Season of Light” traces the history and development of numerous holiday traditions involving bringing light to this time of year. The program also explores possible astronomical explanations for the “Star over Bethlehem.” The evening will include a live star talk about the late December night sky, followed by the full-dome video and a Q&A period. Donations are welcome, however educational experiences in our planetarium are offered free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. "Season of Light" was created by Loch Ness Productions.
