The Civil War Round Table of the Mid-Ohio Valley is hosting its second annual History in the Park event.
The event is July 12 from 10 am - 3pm at Muskingum Park in Marietta. It is completely free to the public.
Organizations with displays & information on their groups, are coming from Columbus, Charleston, Wheeling area, Tuscarawas, Belmont Counties. There is also local groups involved like the Blennerhasset Museum, Henderson Hall, The Castle, as well as tours of the 1st Congregational Church across the street from the park. Abe Lincoln will even be there after 12 pm!
President of the Civil War Round Table of the Mid-Ohio Valley Nancy Arthur explains what it means to her to hold this event. “We want to promote interest in all the history we have in this area and create interest in day or weekend trips to those coming from out of town.”
