We offer generous Merit Scholarships that reward your hard work.

When you apply to Marietta College, you’re automatically considered for merit scholarships ranging from $14,000 to $26,000 annually based on your high school cumulative GPA. 

You can also qualify for:

Once it’s in, Marietta builds your personalized financial aid package—made for you, combining scholarships, grants, and more. Typically, financially aid packages are released in December and are on a rolling basis through the remainder of the academic year.

How do I apply to Marietta College?

Do you need my high school transcripts to apply?

Yes—we need to see your story.

Your transcript helps us understand:

  • Your GPA
  • Your coursework
  • Your academic growth

Ask your school counselor to send it over directly to us. Your counselor can email it to admit@marietta.edu or to your admission counselor directly. 

How long does it take to receive an admission decision?

Not long—we know you’re waiting.

Marietta offers rolling admission, which means:

  • Decisions typically come within 7-10 after your application is complete with both your application and the required supplemental materials. 
  • Keep an eye on your email—you’ll receive your decision there first before receiving the official decision letter in the mail.

Does Marietta accept transfer students?

Yes—and we make it easy to start fresh.

If you’ve taken college classes after high school, you’re considered a transfer student. We’d be happy to evaluate those credits so you can get a true look into how the courses you’ve taken will be accepted at Marietta College.

Note: Taking CCP classes in high school, while they will be evaluated for college credit, do not make you a traditional transfer student.

How do I apply to Marietta College as an international student?

Applying is simple.

  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Personal essay
  • Copy of your passport
  • Financial/bank statement (Must certify that appropriate financial support will be provided for a minimum of one full year of study)

Admissions are based on your academics , English readiness, plus review of the additional requirement documentation. You’ll also get support with visas, orientation, and campus life once you’re here.

What undergraduate programs does Marietta offer?

Choose from more than 70 undergraduate majors and minors.

Programs include a variety of  majors that lead to careers in health-related, energy-related, or business-related fields, as well as programs in strategic communication and journalism, leadership, fine arts, and many other areas. In every major, students have boundless opportunities for field experience, professional internships, and study abroad. 

Students also select a secondary concentration -- often a minor or certificate -- in an area other than their major that broadens knowledge and provides an opportunity to explore another area of interest.

Does Marietta Collee offer graduate programs?

Yes—your next level starts here.

Marietta offers graduate programs in select fields, designed to help you level up your career, including psychology, enviromental sustainability leadership, physician assistant studies, clinical mental health counseling and graduate-level courses to prep for a teacher license endorsement in the science of reading. New programs are being added.

Additionally, Marietta offers a post-baccalaureate program in education, which allows students who already hold a bacherlor's degree to complete the courses needed to qualify them for a teachering license.

For international grad students, you may need:

  • TOEFL (or equivalent)
  • A writing sample or placement test 

Some students may take English support courses before starting their program.

How do I apply to Marietta Collee as an international student?

What if I haven't decided on a major yet?

That's OK! You have time to explore options during your first semesters.

Students can enter Marietta College in one of two ways:

  • Declare a major
  • Start as Exploratory with interest areas

Many students begin as Exploratory, giving themselves time to explore the various majors and minors available.

What do students do for fun?

There are several activities on campus and more than 80 active clubs and organizations.

The organizations include academic and professional clubs, community service organizations, honor societies, governing bodies, media and publications, religious offerings, sports and recreational clubs, Greek organizations, and various multicultural and special interest groups such as Brother 2 Brother and Global Connections.

And if you can't find what you are looking for already on campus, you can start your own organization. New student organizations are formed throughout the year, and the Office of Campus Involvement staff will provide you with the guidance and materials needed to start a new organization at Marietta College. Marietta and the surrounding area also offers multiple events and outdoor adventure opportuities.

What sports does Marietta offer?

Plenty! 

From our National Championship - winning baseball and Gold-Medal winning rowing teams, to intramural ultimate frisbee, esports, cheerleading, and pickup racquetball games, there is a a sport and a level of competition for nearly anyone who wants to participate.

Marietta competes in NCAA D3. Intervarsity competitive sports include:

What are the residence halls like?

In a word — excellent! 

Eighty-six percent of Marietta College students live on campus in traditional or apartment-style residence halls. Working and living with your best friends will be one of the best parts of your Marietta journey.
