If you think that your bill is incorrect, we must hear from you in writing no later than sixty (60) days from the date the first bill on which the error or questioned transaction appeared. You may telephone our office, but doing so will not preserve your rights.
In your letter, provide us with the following information:
- Your name and account number.
- The initial date of the error and a description and/or explanation (to the extent you can explain) of why you believe it is an error.
- The dollar amount of the suspected error.
- Any other information (such as your address) which you think will help Marietta College to identify you or the reason for your complaint or inquiry.
You are not required to pay the amount in question while we are investigating, but you must still pay the charges on your bill that are not in question. While we investigate your inquiry, we cannot report you as delinquent or take any action to collect the amount you question.
