An Earth, Energy, and Environment (E3) Student Conference and Technical Presentations Contest will be held virtually on November 8-9, 2021. This novel initiative will bring together students studying earth sciences, energy, and the environment. Best of all, this first annual international conference/competition will be presented using the ZOOM Events platform, and thus, free of charge. Find information about how to join the conference at piopetro.org. If you are planning to attend, please, fill out this form.
Though the conference will include panel discussions and technical presentations by a variety of professionals, the main feature will be a Student Technical Presentations Contest. There will be two contests, one for undergraduates and a second for graduate students.
The undergraduate competition is open to teams of two to three students from universities worldwide. The graduate contest is open to individuals currently enrolled in a Masters or Ph.D. program. Contestants should prepare a technical 20-minute presentation and submit it to the technical committee by October 31. Details about topics, the submission form, and the contest guidelines are available at piopetro.org. Three winners from the graduate contest and three teams from the undergraduate contest will receive awards. If you are planning to compete, please, fill out this form.
The Conference Co-chairs are Professor Mohamed Soliman from the University of Houston and Professor Ben Ebenhack from Marietta College. For inquiries and more details, please contact Dr. Ahmed Algarhy at am006@marietta.edu.
