Matthew (Matt) B. Weekley is the leader of Plante Moran’s national Healthcare practice. Plante Moran is one of the nations’ largest public accounting firms and is consistently recognized by FORTUNE magazine as one of the best places to work in America. In addition to his leadership role, Matt also serves in a number of other capacities at the firm, including participation in management committees and strategic planning initiatives, and is a charter member of Plante Moran’s Women in Leadership steering committee.
Relying upon his 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 11 years as a health system senior executive, Matt works with his partners to serve clients, mentor and train its team of professionals, and implement the strategic objectives of the firm. He is often asked to speak to clients, boards, and at industry conferences regarding topics of current interest to leaders, including positioning for success in a post-healthcare reform era, governance best practices, and patient-centered care models.
Matt is a 1981 graduate of Marietta College and attended Harvard Business School’s highly acclaimed program “Leading Professional Services Firms”. In addition to his Marietta College trustee role, Matt is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Matt lives in Dublin, Ohio with his wife Joanne and has two adult children, Heather and Mark. Matt regularly volunteers at his church, St. Brigid of Kildare and serves on the Finance Committee at Wedgewood Golf & Country Club.
