Biography

Matthew B. (Matt) Weekley ’81 has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2015 and is currently Board Chair.  Prior to becoming a Trustee, Matt spent six years on the Marietta College Alumni Association (MCAA) board, serving as President in his final year with the MCAA. Matt graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant shortly thereafter.  He also attended Harvard Business School’s highly acclaimed program “Leading Professional Services Firms.” 

Matt’s career spanned nearly 40 years, all serving the healthcare industry. The last 20 years were spent with Plante Moran where he led the firm’s national healthcare practice. Plante Moran is annually named to FORTUNE’s list of “Best Companies to Work For.” Matt was often called upon to speak to clients, boards, and fellow professionals regarding topics of current interest to leaders, such as change management, strategy development, and succession planning. Prior to Plante Moran, Matt was a healthcare system executive and a consultant to the industry focusing on financial and operational matters. 

Matt and his wife Joanne split their time between Westerville, Ohio and Vero Beach, Florida. Matt relishes time with his family, serves his church, and remains active through sports and a fitness regimen.
