Event production is a big part of the sports experience for fans, including the music, lights, scoreboard images, in-game contests for prizes, etc. All of those elements are scripted minute-by-minute to ensure the game runs on time and that fans are engaged in a meaningful way.
Marietta College has one of the only Sport Management programs in the WORLD currently teaching an industry-leading game production software. The software used in our facilities is the same software used by hundreds of sports teams, corporations, and other event groups around the world at all levels — including teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, colleges and universities, and more. Thanks to their knowledge and experience with the software, Graduates of Marietta College have a leg-up on others when applying for internships and jobs.
Aside from learning the software ins and outs, our students learn valuable skills such as time management, game flow, customer and fan interaction, sponsor fulfillment, creative marketing, and other skills that come with writing a "run of show" for an event/game.
