Sigma Kappa was founded on four values: personal growth, friendship, loyalty, and service. Today, our members live these values while pushing one another to achieve their individual goals. Sigma Kappa women come from many different backgrounds and have a variety of interests. Our chapter contains girls in many different areas of study. Our members are well rounded from athletes to artists to adventurers. We embrace our differences but share a common love for Sigma Kappa. We live our motto: One Heart, One Way. We have a passion for getting things done, and share a lot of fun memories along the way. No matter what we are doing—highway trash pick-up, walking to end Alzheimer’s, or making pancakes for Sigma Stacks—we share our joy and have a fun time together. Together we have slept over at a sister’s lake house, participated in Greek Week lip-synchs, and enjoyed movie nights, formals, picnics and much more! Many of us have met not only our best friends but our sisters.

There is no way I could have imagined the impact that Sigma Kappa would have on my life. Not only have I learned so much about myself and my ability to lead others, but I have also created lifelong friendships with some of the most compassionate, intelligent, determined and strong women that I have ever met. Sigma Kappa is more than just a club to me, it is a getaway, a support system, but most importantly a second family that I never knew I needed. I will forever be grateful for the impact that Greek Life has had, and will continue to have, on my personal and professional life.
