Biography

Mr. Brown began his career in Pleasants County Schools in St. Marys, West Virginia, teaching general music and chorus to students in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. He also served as the director of the Pleasants County Children’s Chorus. During his tenure in Pleasants County, he received several awards, including Teacher of the Year, Nominee for West Virginia Society of General Music Teacher of the Year, Music Teachers National Association Star Award, and Nominee for GRAMMY Music Educator Award.

Mr. Brown is currently teaching general music and chorus to students in kindergarten through fifth grade within Marietta City Schools. He also serves as the full-time organist and pianist at Christ United Methodist Church in Marietta, and he is the director of the Marietta Ukulele Choir.
