With the help of a Marietta College alumnus, Artemii Stepanets ’23 was able to land his dream summer internship as a Business Development Representative at Adobe. “I generated new pipeline through extensive research focused on net-new companies, shadowed and learned from Solutions Consulting, Software Engineering and Data Science teams, linked eCommerce case studies for later potential client comparisons, generated new outbound sequence for a specific role — IT and CIO — prospects, and received second place in WWFO for a project that instructs new hires by expediting their outbound process.”

The CS field is so vast that our courses don’t require one to commit to a specific part of Computer Science, rather, professors serve as a guiding hand that presents you the fundamental and necessary knowledge for you to choose your future.

Marietta’s alumni base — known as The Long Blue Line — often plays a key role in helping connect current students with experiential learning opportunities, and they also provide recommendations during the application process.

Artemii is passionate about solving issues through technical solutions, which is why he chose to major in Computer Science.

“I believe that technology has the answers that we need; moreover, we simply must understand and learn how to properly utilize our abilities and resources for the problems. Computer Science is currently the best field to get into not only because of limitless job opportunities, but because CS is more versatile than ever.”

He describes Marietta’s program as being hands-on, engaged and a holistic study of the Computer Science field. He says professors provide students with the resources that they need to succeed and they also provide the freedom to pursue their own areas of interest.
