Jack Wharff Band

The Esbenshade Series and Marietta College will welcome The Jack Wharff Band to the historic Peoples Bank Theatre on Friday, March 27, at 7 p.m., bringing a high-energy blend of bluegrass, country and rock to downtown Marietta.

Formed in Richmond, Virginia, and now based in Nashville, The Jack Wharff Band has quickly made a name for itself with electrifying live performances and a unique genre-defying sound. Composed of vocalist and frontman Jack Wharff, guitarist Evan Novoa, bassist Ryan Atchison and drummer Garrett Howell, the four-piece group is known for masterful musicianship, infectious rhythms and a vibrant stage presence.

The young band first drew national attention last year after sharing snippets of original songs on TikTok and Instagram Reels, earning viral momentum that led to a record deal with Big Machine Records. Since then, The Jack Wharff Band has continued its rapid rise, expanding its national reach and building a loyal following.

Throughout 2026, the band will embark on its debut headlining tour while also appearing on select dates of Ole 60’s Smokestack Town ’26 Tour. In addition, they’ll make numerous festival appearances, including Tortuga Music Festival, Wild Trails Festival, Bulls, Bands and Barrels, among others.

“To close out our 45th season, we’re excited to welcome The Jack Wharff Band to the Esbenshade Series as a special added performance,” said Todd Burge, Esbenshade Series director. “Fresh off their debut at the Grand Ole Opry, we’re thrilled to catch this talented young band on their way up.”

Audiences will have the opportunity to experience one of country music’s emerging young talents in an intimate, community-focused setting. Fueled by passion and undeniable chemistry, the band brings its signature live sound that has captivated audiences nationwide to Marietta.

The event is free and open to the public thanks to the Frederica G. Esbenshade Memorial Fund. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 7 p.m. Free ticket reservations will be available beginning Monday, March 16 at 10 a.m. through Peoples Bank Theatre.

Marietta College is committed to continuing its longstanding tradition of bringing world-class artists to campus and the local community. For more information about the 2025–26 Esbenshade Series, visit marietta.edu/esbenshade-series
