Marietta College is pleased to host an artist's reception for Melissa Haviland and Hannah Moulen on Friday, September 20, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on the third floor of the Hermann Fine Arts Center.
Haviland's work is currently being displayed in Gallery 310. The exhibition is about being swept away by the sea of life, as if the ocean just flooded through your home and carried you off. Haviland is a Professor of Printmaking at Ohio University.
Moulen's exhibition, Crowded Collections, is in the Atrium Gallery, outside Gallery 310. The exhibition is about what we leave behind after death, specifically “navigating the feelings, detritus, and nostalgia that currently occupy my childhood home." Moulen is an MFA in printmaking candidate at Ohio University.
