Marietta College's Office of Diversity and Inclusion is conducting a Juneteenth Celebration from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, June 16th, at the Hermann Fine Arts Center Portico. The celebration features guest speakers Dr. Alicestyne Turley and Michael Crutcher Sr. This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Turley is the director of Freedom Stories for the International Storytelling Center in Jonesborough, Tennessee. She was the founding Director of the Carter G. Woodson Center for Interracial Education at Berea College and the founding director of the Underground Railroad Research Institute at Georgetown College. Crutcher is a Frederick Douglass impersonator.

There will be food, drinks, music, games, educational items, and entertainment.
