Biography

Dr. Ramirez-Dorronsoro has more than 11 years of professional experience in the industrial and environmental engineering field with an additional 12 years of teaching college level engineering and environmental courses in the U.S. Juan Carlos' mechanical engineering experiences include work in food processing plants, metal processing plants, and paper processing plants with positions as Corporate Energy Engineer, Production Engineer, and Maintenance Manager.

In the environmental field, Dr. Ramirez has worked as an Environmental Engineer Consultant testing air emissions in diverse industries in U.S.A. These experiences include work as the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager for a five-year-long and $14-million National Air Emissions Monitoring Study project where he wrote 20 standard operating procedures revised and approved by the U.S. EPA.

Dr. Ramirez various academic experiences include teaching courses in the Civil, Agricultural & Biological Engineering departments at Purdue University, the Environmental Science Department at Ball State University and the Environmental Engineering Technology program at Shawnee State University. In addition, he has served in diverse organizations, including his current position as Chair of the "Measurements, Monitoring, Emissions Inventory & Applications" Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) of the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA), an international organization.
