Reading is critical to building the foundations children need for success in school and life.
Ohio aims to ensure all teachers and administrators have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively implement science of reading principles in their classrooms. The state requires all educators and administrators to complete professional development in the science of reading by June 30th, 2025. Educators who complete the requirement by the deadline are eligible for a stipend.
