Hey y'all! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful October. My name is Emily Etheridge and I am a senior planetary science major with a leadership certificate from Burrillville, Rhode Island. On campus, I'm involved in varsity lacrosse, Sigma Kappa, and the McDonough Leadership program! I found Marietta through recruiting for lacrosse, and I fell in love with the campus from my first visit. Downtown Marietta reminds me of coastal towns in Maine that I would visit when I was younger, and it immediately felt like home. Finding a home was very important for me when I was looking at colleges, especially with being so far away. The people here truly become your family and I would be a totally different person than who I am today if I went anywhere else!

There are so many things that I appreciate about Marietta that I can't wait to share with you all, and I can't wait to hear about your favorite things as well. Being chosen as an ambassador is such an honor and I'm excited to show you parts of campus life that you may not always get to see. I have a lot of exciting events coming up, such as a geology field trip to Franklin, WV and our fall Play Day for lacrosse that I want to show you all! I hope to provide you with some insight into what the average senior student at Marietta does in their day to day life. Please let me know what you all would like to hear about campus life and about my experiences, and I hope to hear about your experiences here. I am looking forward to getting to know you!

Best,

Emily
